WARSAW: Poland is working on selling coal to Ukraine as a means of getting rid of its supply glut, Polish Economy Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Monday.
“There is coal deficit in Ukraine. We are working on selling our excess coal there,” Morawiecki told reporters during his flight to Lithuania.
Polish economy is highly dependent on coal, but its home market is flooded with cheap supplies, after slumping coal prices hit Poland’s state-run miners.
