Treasury Minister Dawid Jackiewicz stressed that the idea for the foundation is not only to react when bad, unfair or stereotypical information appears about Poland, but to reach out with a positive message.

The Foundation, with a planned annual budget amounting to PLN 100 million (EUR 22.7 mln/USD 25 mln), will be funded by state-owned companies and by public donations. A letter of intent to establish the Foundation was signed on Wednesday by 17 of the largest Polish state-owned companies. The authorities plan to begin the registration process of the foundation this summer.
