WARSAW: Poland’s GDP growth will likely measure 3.7% in 2015, with average annual inflation at negative 0.2%, the Economy Ministry said in a quarterly research report.
“Q1 GDP readings were better than expected which allows for optimistic forecasts concerning the full year,” ministry analysts wrote. “We expect that GDP growth may exceed the level set in the budget bill.” Poland’s budget envisages GDP growth of PLN 3.4%. In Q1, GDP grew by 3.6% year on year.
The strong growth should allow for unemployment rate to decline, with end-year rate seen at 10.5%. In inflation, analysts expect average annual rate to measure -0.2%.
