WARSAW: Poland’s general government sector sported a surplus of 0.3% of GDP in Q1, the Finance Ministry said in a quarterly report.
“The balance of the general government sector in Q1 2015 was at PLN 1.4 billion, i.e. 0.3% of GDP and was PLN 3.0 billion better year on year,” the ministry said. “The primary surplus was at PLN 9.7 billion, i.e. 2.35 of GDP.”
The positive result of the sector was achieved thanks to a PLN 10.8 billion surplus of the local government sector, which traditionally reports a surplus for Q1, the ministry said.
