Police seized 66 1.75-litre bottles of various brands and a quantity of cash from the home. Two firearms were also confiscated for unsafe storage.

The RCMP believes the alcohol was destined for sale to the general public in Garnish and the surrounding area.

The man will appear at provincial court in Grand Bank on Dec. 9 to enter his plea.

“Police believe that this seizure confirms that the smuggling of contraband alcohol from the French Islands of Saint Pierre et Miquelon continues.”
