Police arrests two suspects involved in theft of spare part at Mughalpura Dry Port

LAHORE: Stealing of different items from Mughalpura Dry Port is a big challenge being faced by the dry port management but persons behind this act were not being brought to justice.

Sources told Customs Today that the arrested persons have confessed that they have stolen many batteries, radiators and other spare parts from vehicles of customs staff, railway staff and loader vehicles.

It is necessary to mention here that these criminal activities were a routine matter at dry port and a number of costly spare parts and batteries were stolen from vehicles of the customs and others staff.

Now area police has arrested two suspects, identified as Shakir and Muhammd Shakeel, and they have confessed to their crime during the investigations.

A number of transporters, clearing agents, railway and customs staff has incurred huge loss in recent time.
