LAHORE: The number of police personnel have been increased on Wednesday at the Regional Tax Office (RTO) to counter any unwanted situation after the dismissal of Federal Revenue Alliance FBR Employees Union President Mian Abdul Qayyum by the Board.

The union leaders on the other hand told Customs Today that they are calm after the incident and will mutually decide the future action plans of the union.

However, through a circular, the RTO management amid escalating tension between the union and chief commissioner office has also urged all the employees of the RTO to follow Government Servant Rule.  The circular was issued by the additional commissioner. Circular warned the employees of strict disciplinary action against the violators.

On the other hand, an extreme sense of fear and confusion has prevailed among the employees of RTO due to the conflict.

“The RTO is presenting scene of border area after deployment of huge number of Police officials,” a taxpayer said.
