Police got remand of accused involved in murder of customs superintendent

ISLAMABAD: Police has arrested main accused of killing deputy superintendent of Customs and has taken his four-day remand for further investigations.

According to sources, Lohi Bhair police arrested Iram Kiani who is brother-in-law of late superintendent Raja Ibrar.  The arrested accused also confessed to his involvement in the murder of the customs officer.

Sources added that police produced the accused to the civil court and got four days remand for further investigations. It is important to mention here that the late customs officer’s dead body after post mortem showed that he was tortured to death.

Deputy Superintendent Customs Raja Ibrar, who was deputed to Cargo section of Benazir Bhutto Airport Islamabad, was found dead on Japan Road near his car bearing registration No. ISS 84 a few days ago.
