Police impound Lamborghini, two other vehicles for illegal racing

SYDNEY: A Lamborghini Hurracane was one of three vehicles impounded over the weekend after allegedly being caught speeding through Dufferin County.

Provincial police says an officer conducting radar enforcement on Saturday on Airport Road in Mono clocked a Lamborghini travelling at 157 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

A 39-year-old Mississauga woman was charged with racing – the Lamborghini was impounded and her licence was suspended for seven days.

A short time later, officers say they clocked a BMW motorcycling travelling at 155 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 10 in Mono. The 45-year-old rider from Toronto was charged with racing. His motorcycle was impounded and his licence was suspended to seven days.

In Amaranth, OPP say they clocked a BMW M6G on County Road 12 travelling at 144 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The vehicle was impounded and a 42-year-old Vaughan man had his licence suspended. He is also charged with racing.
