DUBAI: Police from Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain worked together to arrest a GCC national accused of smuggling 35,000 psychotropic capsules and 6 kilograms of hashish into the country through the Ras Al Darah border checkpoint in RAK.
Officers coordinated with Customs officials to allow the man’s vehicle to pass.
RAK Police kept watch on the man until he arrived in UAQ, where he was arrested. The drugs were found hidden in the vehicle, police said.
Two Arab men accused of intending to buy the drugs were also arrested, in UAQ.
