CHARLOTTE: Someone tried to smuggle $18,000 worth of cocaine into the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport, according to a police report.
The suspect tried to bring the drugs into the airport on a commercial aircraft from Jamaica, the report said.
In June, Channel 9 investigated drug traffickers using commercial airlines to do work for them.
Investigators said couriers made at least 47 trips between Charlotte and San Francisco, according to documents.
The scheme involved at least 880 pounds of marijuana.
