Police should perform their duties honestly: SCCI

SIALKOT: A meeting of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce (SCCI) held under the auspicious of President Major (R) Mansoor Ahmed here on other day. Senior Vice President Sarfraz Butt, Vice President Syed Ehtisham and other office bearers also participated in the meeting. Mansoor said the Sialkot police has failed to eradicate crimes in the city whereas the attitude of police is very rude with all citizens. He said until the police department will not clean from corrupt officials than the crimes will never eradicate. He said the police is protecting criminals day by day whereas police should perform his duty honestly then criminals will leave the field of crime. He said the traders and exporters have not protection by police rather police don’t co-operate with traders and exporters for eradication of crimes.

He said the dacoits and robbers are looting traders and exporters while other citizens on roads and their homes but police is not taking action to arrest dacoits and robbers. He said the police reach on any place of incident after very long time after intimation whereas citizens have disappointed by the bad performance of police. In meeting senior vice president Sarfraz Butt said the SCCI has many times higher authorities of police department that clean police department from corrupt officials and black sheep but no better response has so far been received from said authorities. He said the present government should show good governance and clean the police department from corrupt officials. He said in all Police Stations corrupt SHO’s are performing their duty rather all incharge of all police check posts are 100 percent corrupt. He said two days a ago dacoits entered in the house of chamber members Mehar Tariq and Mehar Saleem while police informed in time but police reach after long time. He said the citizens have no trust on police and the citizens hate police because police has failed to provide protection to citizens. In the meeting the participants chanted slogans against rude attitude of police and demanded the appointment of honest officials in Police Stations and Police Check Posts.
