WARSAW: The Polish Fuel group PKN Orlen has remained the leader in Fuel station market, as it has 1,768 stations at the end of 2014. The next fuel stations chain was BP with 480 stations and the third Grupa Lotos with 441 stations, industry lobby POPIHN said in a report.
The number of fuel stations in Poland dropped by some 270 to 6,500 in 2014, POPIHN said. A large portion of the stations that disappeared from the market were the so-called independent stations. The reasons were stricter requirements concerning infrastructure.
