WARSAW: Poland’s unemployment rate stood at 11.7 percent at the end of March (along with the expectations) compared with 12 percent a month before, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) informed. In March 2014, the unemployment amounted to 13.5 percent.
The number of the registered unemployed totaled 1.86 million people and was 3 percent lower than at the end of February. The decline reached 14.7 percent on a yearly basis. Earlier in April, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy estimated the unemployment to stand at 11.7 percent.
