WASHINGTON: The largest container ship yet to call on the Port of Virginia arrived early Monday, according to the port’s Facebook page. The vessel called COSCO Development can hold the equivalent of about 13,000 shipping containers that are 20 feet long, according to a news release. Its first East Coast stop is at Virginia International Gateway and the port is celebrating its arrival with a 1 p.m. ceremony.
