Port Qasim handles 94186 tons cargo in 24hrs

KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers berthed at Qasim international Containers Terminal whereas four more ships carrying containers and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Berth occupancy was 35% at the port on Tuesday where four ships namely Safmarine Ngami, Petro Hue, Edquator Harmony and MT Shalamar are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, coal and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 94186 tons comprising 67012 tons imports and 27174 tons exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2972 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
