KARACHI: Five Ships carrying containers of live stock cow chemical and iron ore berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, multi-Purpose Terminal and IOCB Terminal respectively. Meanwhile seven more ships carrying containers, reti, LPG, general cargo, edible oil and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was only 65% at the Port on Friday where seven ships namely Hugo Schulte, RHL Fiducia, Dubai Express, Abou Karim, Epic St. George, MB. Neer and Polaris are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, live stock cow, chemical, iron ore and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 38610 tons comprising 22356 tons imports and 16254 tons exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1360 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
