With discussions held behind closed doors for more than a year, the Port of Tacoma and the Port of Seattle have decided to open a public discussion concerning the Northwest Seaport Alliance, which will join the two ports together to better facilitate changes in the shipping industry.
The public is invited to a public town hall meeting “to discuss and answer questions” about the proposed alliance, according to a joint release from the ports.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, in the Rotunda at Clover Park Technical College, 4500 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W. in Lakewood.
