LISBON: Portugal’s secretary of state for agricultural and food research, Nuno Vieira e Brito, has announced that he had signed two agreements with Cuba’s government to facilitate exports from Portugal to that country during a four-day visit to Havana.

The secretary of state was accompanied on the trip by representatives of 10 Portuguese companies keen to promote their products in Cuba. Cheeses, wines, olive oils, pasta, biscuits and breakfast cereals and prepared meals were among the goods on offer at a showcase in the capital timed to coincide with Portugal Day, 10 June.
