HELSINKI: The postal services operator, Posti has offered from the beginning of this month, credit applications which are handled online and granted by the credit company Credit24.
Customers can now apply for credit facility at the post office. The identity of the applicant can be verified by more than 600 postal service points. The application is then processed and granted by Credit24. The company is the first to take advantage of the Post’s identity verification services. The Posti authority said in a statement that the world’s postal services extensively provide authentication services.
“Identification verification is one of the Posti’s own routine operations, so it’s nat-ural to provide it as a service to other companies. Credit24 customers now have access to the Posti’s wide network and long opening hours,” said Anna Lehtonen, Director of Retail Network, a service concept at Posti.
