ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar Saturday said that the government has taken effective measures to maintain prices of live chicken at Rs 145 per kilogramme during the financial year 2016-17.
Addressing a post-budget press conference here, he said, no additional tax has been imposed on poultry products in the budget in a bid to maintain its prices in next two years. He said, live chicken would be sold at Rs 145 per kg and its meat would be available in the market at Rs 200 per kg. The minister said the representatives of Pakistan Poultry Association and other stakeholders have agreed to maintain prices for next two year.
