Power shortfall reduces to 2950MW, hydel generation stands at 2000MW, thermal 1720MW, IPPs 5830MW

ISLAMABAD: The shortfall of power has reduced to 29,50 MW as the total generation was recorded as 9,550 MW against the total demand of 12,500 MW.
According to the data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 2000 MW, Thermal 1720 MW and IPPs 5830 MW.
Hydel generation also witnessed decreased due to canal closures for annual de-silting.
Guddu-Sabbi-Quetta transmission line tripped last night was due to technical fault. Repair work is being carried out NTDC engineers and staff.
