ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has approved cut in power tariff by Rs 2.83 per unit for March, under monthly fuel adjustment formula.
In a petition, Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) sought Rs 2.78 per unit reduction. However, in a public hearing, chaired by Nepra Chairman Tariq Sadozai, the regulator approved Rs 2.83 per unit decrease.
The domestic consumers across the country, except to the consumers of K-Electric and the lifeline consumers, will be able to enjoy this relief. The compensation will be available to the consumers in their next month’s electricity bills.
