COPENHAGEN: Finnish consulting and engineering company Pöyry Energy Inc has been commissioned to design a 40-megawatt (MW) biomass power facility in Negros Occidental, the Philippines.
After conducting a feasibility study on the biomass project last year, Pöyry is now undertaking the front-end engineering design (FEED) of the facility. The FEED contract covers the detailed study of the technical requirements and investment cost of the project.
Commissioning the project is ROXAS Holdings Inc. (RHI), the Philippines’ largest bio-sugar and bio-energy company, and Global Business Power Corp. (GBPC), the power generation arm of GT Capital Holdings Inc.
