PRA chairman pays surprise visit to restaurants

LAHORE: Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Chairman Rahil Saddique paid surprise visits to various restaurants located at MM Alam and Qasoori Road Gulberg to check the operations of restaurant invoice monitoring system (RIMS).

He met the owners of the restaurants and briefed them about the system. He also met the customers and apprised them of the balloting scheme on April 10, 2016 and winning exciting prizes including cars Umrah tickets, motorcycles and many more.

He added that RIMS is a modern tool to check evasion of sales tax by the restaurants and its successful implementation may lead PRA to extend its scope to other services such as beauty parlors clubs hotels and other walk in customer businesses.
