PRA issues provincial tax number to travel agents

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has issued the Punjab National Tax Number (PNTN) to air travel ticketing agents in the province the same like the National Tax Number (NTN).

Sources told Customs Today that all travel agents will have to pay 16 percent tax to the Punjab Revenue Autharity (PRA) on tickets issued per passenger. Sources said that additional tax will be applied on all national, International flight and Hajj and Umrah tickets.

Sources said that PRA mentioned the name of travel agency, owner, address, National Identity Card Number (CNIC), date of registration and service catagries also mentioned in the PNTN documents issued to travel agents.
