PRA issues tax notice to National Highway Authority due to tax evasion

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority has issued a notice of Rs 16 billion in the wake of taxes to National Highway Authority on Friday.

According to sources of Customs Today the Punjab Revenue Authority has issued this notice to NHA in the wake of construction services tax. Sources told that PRA allowed time of 10 days to reply this letter or pay their tax dues  otherwise legal can be taken against National Highway Authority.

Earlier the Punjab Revenue Authority has also asked for record of the payments and bank transactions of these developers. National Highway Authority has decides to investigate the record of these urban developers.

it is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab government has imposed tax on urbane developers in budget of 2013 but these developers are not paying any tax to the national Kitty.

Punjab Revenue Authority has asked for the record of Central Park Housing Society, Air Avenue Housing Society, IT Tower and Gulberg Plaza to investigate about the financial statements of these developers.
