LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) is steadily moving towards full digital transformation in line with the provincial government’s policy.
PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra met Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Faisal Yousaf to review progress on digital mechanisms. Sipra emphasised that digitalisation must prioritise taxpayer facilitation, promote a business-friendly environment, and ensure transparency across the tax collection system.
The meeting also reviewed proposals for upgrading PRA’s monitoring dashboard and database. Sipra said an integrated database will be developed to improve processes for registered businesses and strengthen revenue collection.
He added that sector-wise PRA data will be digitised in phases to close existing gaps, noting that the new e-database will make it easier to frame, implement and quickly access PRA laws.
