PRA seals marriage hall in Jhang on charges of sales tax evasion

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has sealed a marriage hall in Jhang on the charges of sales tax evasion. The marriage hall was sealed by the PRA team under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Asif Nadeem.

Earlier, the PRA had also appointed sales monitoring teams in top saloons of Lahore to find the exact sales volume of the outlets and recover sales tax.

The PRA sources told Customs Today that saloons have failed to satisfy tax collecting officials on their sales volume.

It is said that the beauty salons are charging highly fees from their clients but not paying the tax according to their income.

Initially, the PRA has appointed its monitoring teams at the Farazan and Zara Saloon at Gulberg, Maram, Abroo, Samia Beauty Salon, Sanuba at MM Alam Road and others.
