PRA seals three restaurants on non payment of sales taxes‏

MULTAN: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA)  Multan region has sealed three restaurants on non-payment of their outstanding sales taxes.

According to details, the Punjab Revenue Authority carried out a crackdown against three restaurants located in the Abdali Road, High Court Road and Chowk Ghanta Ghar. The authority issued them final notices for the payment of their outstanding taxes a few days ago.

Additional commissioners Raees Mehboob and Zeeshan Nazeer have raided these restaurants along with their squads. These restaurants had not registered themselves with the Punjab Revenue Authority for the payment of sales taxes despite receiving several notices from the department.

The authority camp office has been directed from Punjab government to take strict action against defaulters and unregistered hotels, restaurants located in its jurisdiction for collection of outstanding taxes.

Further actions against defaulters from Punjab Revenue Authority will be taken in the region very soon.
