PRA shows outstanding performance by collecting Rs 5.5 billion in July

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) collected a record amount of Rs 5.5 billion under the heads of different taxes during last month of the current fiscal year.

Sources told Customs Today that during the month of July, the Punjab Revenue Authority collected Rs 5.5 billion taxes. Sources said that during the last fiscal year, the authority collected a total of Rs 63 billion that is also a record. The revenue collection is higher than Sindh Revenue Board and other provincial authorities.

PRA collection has reached to Rs 5.5 billion in July that is Rs 0.5 billion higher as compared to the same period of last fiscal year.

It is pertinent to mention here that revenue collection target for PRA during current fiscal year has increased to Rs85 billion and from. During the beginning of current fiscal year Punjab Revenue Authority started crackdown against tax defaulters to meet their targets.
