PRA starts action against housing schemes involved in sales tax evasion

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has started action against those housing schemes which are not paying sales tax on services.

According to the details, Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Chairman Raheel Ahmed Siddiqui has directed officials to take stern action against the owners of those housing schemes who are receiving development charges from buyers but not paying sales tax to the Punjab Revenue Authority.

Source informed Customs Today that the PRA officials have already started data collection of City Housing Scheme, Urban Developers, Sukh Chain Scheme and Al Rehman Gardens and 18 other housing schemes.

After examining all the data of these scheme PRA authorities will determine whether these housing schemes are involved in tax evasion or not.
