PRA starts monitoring of beauty salons in posh areas of Lahore

LAHORE: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has appointed sales monitoring teams in expensive saloons of the city to detect the exact sales volume and recover sales tax.

The PRA has appointed a team at beauty saloon of Nargis in Allama Iqbal Town. Team will permanently monitor the sales record of Semi’s Beauty saloon.

While PRA has appointed monitoring team at Amina Raja Beauty Saloon which is located on MM Alam Road. The PRA teams will monitor the rates of the services provided by the beauty saloons.

The PRA sources told Customs Today that saloons have failed to satisfy tax collecting officials about  their sales volume.

It was said that the beauty parlors were charging highly fees from their clients but evading sales taxes and are hiding the actual sales volume. The PRA teams will maintain the sales record of the parlors during the peak season and detect the actual sales volume.
