WARSAW: Australian miner Prairie Mining Limited says it has secured up to AUD 83 million in financing for the construction of a coal mine in Poland’s eastern Lubelskie region from British private equity fund CD Capital, its new strategic partner.
Prairie said in a statement that it has “agreed the terms for an investment of up to AUD 83 million from global natural resources private equity fund CD Capital to upgrade, expand and develop the Lublin Coal Project.”
“CD Capital have committed to be a key strategic funding partner in the upgrading, expansion and development of Prairie’s Lublin Coal Project.” Prairie announced plans to launch construction of a coal mine in the Lubelskie region in April last year.
