On the other hand, the citizens have strongly reacted to the self-increased prices of Naan and Roti by the MNRA, saying that the poor will starve to death by the increased prices of Nan and Roti.

Muhammad Aftab Aslam Gul, President of MNRA has said that the price of wheat had gone up from Rs1400 to Rs1800 per 40kg and the price of a bag of fine flour had increased from Rs. 3900 to Rs4500. A 20kg bag of flour costs Rs 1050 instead of Rs 805, how Naan and Roti could be sold cheap, he questioned.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Danish Afzal said that no notification has been issued to increase the prices of Naan or Roti.
