DUBLIN: Pre-tax profits at the Irish arm of leading all-in-one website publishing platform Squarespace more than doubled in 2015 to €182,897. This followed revenues at Squarespace Ireland soaring by 123pc from €2.8m to €6.27m. On Sunday, millions of TV viewers watched John Malkovich starring in a Superbowl ad for the firm (above), which in 2015, moved to a larger HQ in Ireland at Le Pole House in Dublin to accommodate its expanding workforce. Numbers employed here in 2015 increased from 50 to 106. Squarespace is an intuitive website publishing platform that allows anyone to easily create professional blogs, web pages, stores, and galleries without touching a line of code. The completely inclusive, all-in-one service provides hosting, content management, domain names, social integrations, e-commerce, and 24-hour customer support. The operation in Dublin serves Squarespace customers around the globe and includes a variety of customer care roles.

Dublin was Squarespace’s first location outside of New York City after the IDA beat off competition from other European countries to secure the jobs for Ireland in 2013. According to the directors’ report for 2015, “the development and enhancement of the company’s existing activities will continue to be main area of attention”. Staff costs increased in 2015 to €1.75m to €4.12m while its operating expenses increased from €2.77m to €6m. Directors’ remuneration totalled €224.250.
