October also remained hectic because of bye-elections in different parts of the country and forthcoming local bodies elections in which many representatives from traders’ community are also participating. There were also holidays because of Moharram and on other accounts.

They said that FBR should extend the date for another month so as to facilitate the traders for performing their obligation of filing returns with full attention. They said that an extension in the date of filing of returns would not only facilitate the business community but it would also send a very positive signal public-private good relations.
