The provincial minister said that this automatic system of tax receipts from hotels is a milestone in the history of the province which will not only restore the confidence of taxpayers but also enhance the tax receipts. Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha disclosed that more than 90 restaurants of Lahore have been registered under this system which is a great success of Punjab Revenue Authority. She thanked Punjab IT Board and Punjab Food Authority on the assistance of PRA and expressed the hope to further strengthen this partnership in future.

Chairman Punjab IT Board Dr. Umer Saif informed the participants about the method of monitoring system and appreciated the efforts of PRA. Chairman PRA Raheel Sadiqui addressing the function announced to observe taxpayers day on April 10.

He told that besides restaurants invoice monitoring system, Punjab Revenue Authority is also launching an Amanat Scheme under which those paying sales tax in hotels will be awarded cash prizes so that non-taxpayers should be motivated to pay tax. He said that cash prizes will be distributed through balloting on April 10.
