Property deals: FBR starting crackdown against non-tax payers

KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue has decided to initiate a crackdown against tax evaders, especially who have not paid their income tax in the perspective property deals.

According to media reports, FBR has collected all the information of about one million properties from provincial registrars, builders and developers. The data has revealed that most of the investment was made in posh areas. Sources said that the areas where most of the investment was made include Defence and Clifton. The individuals who have concealed their assets were kept on the top of the FBR’s list.
