Property of Al-Noor Traders attached for non-payment of dues

KARACHI: The Special Recovery Cell of MCC-Exports during its crackdown against the defaulters has attached the property i.e. 7 ‘marla’ house of Riaz Ahmad proprietor of M/s Al Noor Traders in terms of non-payment of outstanding dues despite several notices and intimations.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Special Recovery Cell of MCC-Exports has conducted the said attachment of property in Multan with the assistance of Multan Development Authority (MDA).

According to details, the Special Recovery Cell of MCC-Exports headed by Principal Appraiser Sardar Amin Farooqui has proclaimed order of attachment of property belonging to Riaz Ahmad, proprietor of M/s Al-Noor Traders against outstanding dues amounting of Rs5,29326 and penalty of Rs 50000.

As per details, the Collectorate of Customs Adjudication-II vide its Order-in- Original (ONO) against M/s Al- Noor Traders under Section 193 of the Customs Act, 1969 and asked the importer to deposit outstanding dues along with the penalty.

Subsequently, the importer M/s Al-Noor Traders moved to Customs Appellate Tribunal against the issued ONO by the adjudicating authorities. However; the Customs Appellate Tribunal was also rejected the appeal filed by the importer vide Order-in-Appeal No6215 to 6218. Later on, the Special Recovery Cell of MCC-Exports sent notices for recovering of outstanding due to the importer, but the party did not responded upon the notices which resulting the attachment of property.
