KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has stated that it would continue smooth and uninterrupted fuel supplies to ensure that consumers don’t face any hardships during the Eid holidays and beyond.

“There is no fear of fuel shortage owing to the Eid holidays or current monsoon season,” the state-owned oil marketing firm said in a statement.

Foreseeing the hike in demand during the upcoming Eid holidays, PSO has received a petrol cargo of 52,000 tons on Friday to be followed by another supply of 52,000 tons of petrol in the coming week.

The company will also receive two cargoes of high-speed diesel (HSD) of 52,000 tons each, first one on Saturday (today) while the second one would follow in the same week.

In June, the company imported 170,000 tons of diesel and 155,000 tons of petrol. Smooth and regular fuel supplies are being made to all PSO retail outlets across the country so no disruption is faced by the consumers in any part of the country, it said.
