PTA redressed 99.26 % complaints in FY 2016-17

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has redressed 34,465 ( 99.26 per cent) complaints from telecom consumers against the different telecom operators (including cellular operators, PTCL, LDIs, WLL operators and ISPs) during 2016-17.

PTA has received 34,723 complaints from telecom consumers against the different telecom operators (including cellular operators, PTCL, LDIs, WLL operators and ISPs) during the same period.

In terms of the segregation of complaints by individual service, a total of 22,372 complaints were received against cellular mobile operator (CMO), according to a data issued here on Wednesday.

PTCL has received 12,019 with 99.64 % redressal, ISPs has received 213 complaints with 97.18 % redressal and WILL has received 119 complaints with 100% redreassal.

PTA has established an easily accessible, efficient complaint management system so that consumers can lodge complaints via phone, fax, email, website and personal visits.
