The meeting pointed out increasing trend of harassment and high headedness, arbitrary exercise of powers, deliberate misapplication of law and misuse of authority in FBR field officers all over the country.

The representatives of PTBA assessed that the FBR has failed to control the increasing malpractices in FBR.

The meeting also criticized the Federal tax Ombusdman and observed that the FTO has become a non-existence and lost its credibility in contrast to the previous years.

The meeting underscored that the FTO’s passive role is one major reason of high headedness and lawlessness in FBR.
