PTBA, LTBA officials, members meet LHC Chief Justice Qasim Khan

LAHORE: Officials and members of Pakistan Tax Bar Association (PTBA) and Lahore Tax Bar Association (LTBA) Friday called on Chief Justice of Lahore Qasim Khan.

The Chief Justice was presented a shield on the services and morale of the Lahore High Court and congratulated on the inauguration of Commercial Courts and Appellate Tribunal in Multan.

Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tax Bar Qari Habib-ur-Rehman Zubair General Secretary Farhan Shehzad Lahore Tax Bar President Jamil Akhtar Baig, Vice President Haseebullah Khan, General Secretary Irfan Haider, Rana Zulfiqar Qadeer Asif Khokhar, Former President PTB Naeem Shah.  Zahid Atiq Chaudhry, Ashiq Ali Rana, Rana Munir Hussain, Athar Naveed Kayani, Noman Yahya, Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Naib Akhtar Ansari, Farrukh Majeed and Registrar Lahore High Court were also present on the occasion.  The chief justice said that tax bars have a very important role to play in the country’s economy and development and prosperity.

They take the tax payer into confidence in paying taxes and achieving tax targets without the help of tax bars is no less than a gamble, he said adding that  commercial Courts are being set up f domestic and foreign investors to provide timely justice. There is a need to work on the policies of Ease of Doing Business. An appellate tribunal has been inaugurated in Multan to facilitate taxpayers.
