PTCL, KPK forest det ink MoU on “adopt a forest” program

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited and The Forest Department of KPK Sign MOU on the “Adopt a Forest” Program to Protect and Conserve Nature.

Mr. Tariq Khadim, Divisional Forest Officer and Sami Zaman, Company Secretary and Head of External Affairs, signed an MoU to launch the “Adopt a Forest” Program at the office of the Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera. Imad ud Din Muhammad, Syed Ali Abbas, Jamal Toru and Aamir Lodhi also participated on behalf of Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited. Under this program, the Forest Department will provide 200 acres of land to PTC, under which PTC will cultivate native species.

On this occasion, Sami Zaman highlighted the afforestation and conservation initiatives of PTC. He informed participants that PTC has so far distributed more than 160 million plants and developed 38 hectares of conservation sites.

Tariq Khadim, Divisional Forest Officer appreciated the efforts of PTC and expressed appreciation for the new “Adopt a Forest” program.
