RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and Northern Areas Transport Corporation (NATCO) Gilgit are providing transport facilities to passengers travelling in Pakistan and China for last many decades.

To attract the tourists across the country and particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and provide comfortable transport facilities to the national and international tourists and improve mutual understanding, both the organisations have joined hands to promote tourism in the country. PTDC Managing Director Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan said this during a meeting with Muhammad Hussain, NATCO MD, on Monday. Chaudhry Ghafoor said that after 9/11, the tourism industry in GB got affected adversely. He said now with efforts of government and Pakistan Army, GB was completely peaceful and safe for tourists, which has also been endorsed by many international organisations. He added that PTDC and NATCO will be providing special discounts to the tourist on each other’s behalf.
