PUNE: Pune divisional railway manager B K Dadabhoy elaborated on the performance of Pune division, emphasizing on recently completed works and also innovative works and plans for the future. He said the total earnings of Pune division for the period from April 15 to October 5 was Rs 675.94 crores as against Rs 580.16 over corresponding period of last year. Revenue earnings, he said, had a growth of 17 %.
Passenger earnings contributed Rs 437.90 crores and other coaching earnings contributed Rs 38.82 crores both with a rise of 8% compared to corresponding period of last year. Dadabhoy said goods earning contributed Rs 199.22 crores ( a rise of 43% ). Ticket checking earnings contributed Rs 7.18 crores (rise of 2 % compared to corresponding period of last year).
Dadabhoy said that Pune division’s punctuality performance of mail express trains for the month of October 2015 was 95.02%. The cumulative punctuality ratio is 95.19%.
About achievements, he said, a total of 397 holiday special trains were run and a total 243 extra coaches and total 275 leased/Indent VPs were attached on trains. At Pune Station extension of cover over platform on leftover portion of platform number one and 6 has been completed. Railways have installed drinking water RO plant at Pune station, he said.
