Punjab approves four projects worth Rs 3.4 billion

LAHORE: The Punjab government has approved four development projects of different sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 3379.267 million (about Rs 3.4 billion).

These projects were approved in the 41st meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16, presided over by Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.

According to spokesman for P&DD, the approved development schemes included: construction/expansion of 150 bedded wards (new block) for provision of sub-specialist services at Children Hospital Complex, Multan (revised) at the cost of Rs 1928.550m, establishment of Project Management Unit (PMU) and hiring of consultant for establishment of 100 bedded Mother and Child Care Hospital at Murree (PC-II) at the cost of Rs206.270m, widening/improvement of Gojra-Toba Tek Singh Road, TT Singh (revised) at the cost of Rs211.277 million and widening /improvement to Karam Dad Qureshi Kot Addu Layyah Road, District Muzaffargarh (revised) at the cost of Rs1033.170m.
