Punjab cabinet body to monitor Ramazan bazaars

LAHORE: A cabinet committee, constituted on the direction of the chief minister, will regularly monitor arrangements for provision of quality essential items to masses in Ramazan bazaars.

The committee will review measures for the provision of relief to citizens under the Ramazan Package and submit its report on a daily basis. It will also monitor visits of provincial ministers, special assistants, advisors, parliamentary secretaries and administrative secretaries as well as DCOs, DPOs and other administrative and district officers to various bazaars.

The agriculture minister will be the convener of the committee with the chief secretary as its co-convener, while, additional chief secretary, MPA Waheed Gul, Chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, I&C secretary, Punjab Information Technology Board chairman, IC&I secretary, agriculture special secretary, director food, additional IG of Special Branch and other officers will be members of the committee.
