Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif wants fast-track reforms in Excise, Taxation Dept

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has expressed the desire to introduce fast-track reforms in the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department.

The chief minister was briefed on reforms in Excise and Taxation Department via video link. During his address,  the chief minister asked authorities to use information technology to help the citizens and improve the working of the department.

CM urged department to improve system of registration of vehicles and collection of token taxes by using modern technologies. Chief Minister has formed special committee for Excise and Taxation reforms under the supervision of Provincial Minister of Excise Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman. Other members of the committee will be finalized from Excise department.

Minister Excise and Taxation Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman Secretary Excise Ali Tahir and other relevant officials were present in the briefing.
